I realized halfway through their set that I had never seen a picture of either Tegan or Sara. And unfortunately, I didn't bring my camera, so I don't have one to remember them by. I guess their own pictures will have to do. The concert was good, but I made one serious showgoing faux pas: just because the doors open at six doesn't mean that the show starts at six. I ended up playing cellphone golf for over an hour. My new score to beat is six-over. Webster Hall was a lot like Great American in SF. A little bigger, more bars, better sound and great staging. So... nothing like it. Tegan and Sara were very courteous and appreciative, thanking the crowd for coming out over and over again. Those modest Canadians. The setlist was great, playing all of my favorites: "Take Me Anywhere", "You Went Away", and "Wake Up Exhausted". And in between songs, the duo pretended to be on an episode of "Songwriters", explaining how each of their songs came about. Most of it was random rambling. But at least it was courteous and appreciative random rambling. I actually left the concert a little early to catch some of the Sox game. Rodriguez two-run homer in the top of the ninth off of Schilling. Ouch. Being in a Yankee-friendly bar to watch it happen. Double ouch.
